Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms are between you and Gropple, LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates pithie (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

The Service

pithie is an email reading product that can sync Gmail accounts you authorize, display mail, and let you manage common Gmail labels from within the app. Features may change over time. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice when practicable.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may connect Google / Gmail accounts only if you have the right to authorize that access.

Subscriptions and fees

The Service may be offered free of charge or under paid plans. If we introduce or change fees, we will disclose applicable pricing before charging you. Unless stated otherwise at purchase, paid fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change free-tier limits or feature availability with notice when practicable.

Your content and mail

You retain rights to your email and other content. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service, including AI-assisted reading features. You represent that you have the right to connect the accounts you authorize and that your use of the Service complies with Google’s terms and policies for the Google APIs you enable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the Service or attempt unauthorized access
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or related infrastructure
• Use the Service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights
• Abuse rate limits, scrape, or reverse engineer except as allowed by law
• Use the Service to exfiltrate others’ mail or Google data without authorization
• Circumvent security, usage limits, or access controls

Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties such as Clerk and Google. Their terms and policies also apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Warranties and disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that mail sync or AI summaries will be complete or accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gropple, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) USD $100, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through Settings or as described on our deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we need to protect the Service, our users, or third parties (including Google API compliance). We may also discontinue the Service with reasonable notice when practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete associated data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States applicable to agreements made and performed there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited by applicable law, disputes arising out of these Terms or the Service will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
